Melbourne airport is one of Australia’s more extensive. It has four terminals, each of which offers slightly different services. The terminal from which you arrive or depart will be determined according to the company you’re flying with, and where you’re flying from, or to. If you’re flying domestically, you’ll probably find yourself travelling through terminals 1, 3, or 4. If you’re flying internationally, you’ll find yourself travelling through terminal 2, which has over 20 international gates.
In terms of pick up and drop off, your options are variable as well. There’s a departures road that runs through level 2 of the forecourt for terminals 1, 2, and 3. Access to terminal 4 drop-offs is found on level two of the T4 car park. For arriving passengers, there are plenty of waiting spaces, including those for drivers. Those spaces offer waiting periods of 1, 10, and 20 minutes.
Southbank is an inner-city Melbourne suburb, just 1km from the CBD. It is known for its trendy urban atmosphere, and characteristically Melbourne cultural attractions. As well as hosting Australia’s highest building – the Eureka Tower, it also hosts the head offices of Treasury Wine Estates, Crown Limited, and the Herald. In addition to those commercial occupants of Southbank, there is no end of cafes, restaurants, bars, and nightlife. In true Melbourne fashion, Southbank has everything, for everyone. Accessing these great attractions is easy, too; simply organise pick ups and drop offs with Hughes.
